Telehealth and in-person therapist in Carrollton, GA

Hi, I’m so glad you’re here

Are you feeling burned out, overwhelmed, or disconnected?

I work with women and help them turn their challenges into growth, healing, and more authenticity in daily life.

Whether you’re feeling burned out, overwhelmed, or disconnected, or struggling with negative emotional loops that hold you back, I’m here to help you navigate those experiences with support and understanding.

I believe therapy is a collaborative process. You are the expert on your own life, and I will be your teammate as we work toward your goals. Together, we’ll uncover what’s holding you back, develop strategies that feel manageable, and create space for the life you want to live.

I work with women from all walks of life, including those facing:

  • Anxiety, depression, and trauma

  • Self-esteem and codependency issues

  • Challenges related to neurodiversity (particularly ADHD, AuDHD, Autism and giftedness)

  • Major life transitions (such as divorce or break ups, the birth of a child, or work-related issues like burnout)

Through therapy, you can learn to honor your emotions and make progress toward building a life built on your values. My approach is grounded in curiosity, respect, and validation. I will be helping you explore your experiences without judgment, so you can move toward a more joyful, fulfilling life.

Curious to see how this could work for you? Reach out to me directly by email or book a consultation call to schedule a time to chat with me about starting therapy.

Maybe it feels like you're constantly doing things for others or work is feeling increasingly unbearable. It probably feels like there is nothing left for yourself by the end of the day. These feelings might be impacting your relationships, work, and your ability to enjoy life like you used to.

I’m here to help you honor your emotions and work with the difficult feelings. Together, we’ll find a way to face the challenges you are facing.

Finding the right therapist can be a frustrating process. Whether you’re entirely new to therapy or have struggled to find a therapist who was a good fit, I understand how daunting it can feel.

I want you to know that I’m here for you, and I truly admire you for taking this step. Opening up takes courage, and I would be honored to be considered a part of your journey.

Chauncey Hudson therapist in Birmingham

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist specializing in supporting and providing therapy to women who are neurodiverse. I also support common comorbidities to neurodiversity, such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, perfectionism, trauma, and burnout.

I specialize in providing therapy neurodivergent women, particularly those identifying as Autistic, AuDHD, or ADHD labels. I believe both formal and self diagnoses are valid.

I provide highly personalized therapy to my clients. We will work collaboratively to achieve your goals, and improve your sense of self while navigating life’s challenges.

When I am not at work, my partner and I are running around trying to keep up with our dynamite of a four year old. Outside of parenthood and domestic life, I try to read as much as I can about a wide range of subjects, but I generally enjoy contemporary/literary fiction with occasional deep dives into historical events. I also enjoy a variety of crafty/creative things, but these days it normally stays in the realm of making pottery, cooking, keeping my houseplants alive, and seasonal gardening. In addition, I volunteer my time throughout my local community, including being an enthusiastic campaign volunteer during big election years.

My Approach to Neurodiversity-Affirming Care:

As a neurodiversity-affirming therapist, I work with my clients to help them understand the thought patterns, belief systems, and expectations that influence how they move through the world. Together, we will examine patterns of behavior that get in the way of you living the meaningful life you desire. As a neurodiversity-affirming therapist, I honor there is no “correct” way of experiencing the world. I foster a sense of curiosity, discovery, and humor in sessions.

I provide a collaborative, strengths-based, non-pathologizing, and psychodynamic in nature therapy that is trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming. I integrate multiple modalities, primarily using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Humanistic/Person-Centered Therapy, tailoring the approaches to each clients needs. I focus on supporting clients in developing psychological flexibility by practicing mindfulness techniques and promoting self-compassion, observing and accepting thoughts and emotions, clarifying values, and taking action aligned with what matters most. I am also trained in Brainspotting, a powerful technique that helps clients quickly and effectively process trauma, release emotional blocks, and move toward healing.

No matter how challenging your present situation may be, I believe therapy can be transformative and affirming. I invite you to reach out today and begin your healing process. My commitment is to not judge you but to provide a space where you can show up as the most authentic version of yourself.
