Trauma-Informed Care for Neurodivergent Women

In-person therapy in Carrollton, Georgia | Online Therapy in Alabama and Georgia

Curiously enough, if we primarily try to shield ourselves from discomfort, we suffer.

Yet when we don’t close off and we let our hearts break, we discover our kinship with all beings.

    EMDR

I offer EMDR using the S.A.F.E. model, which centers mindful awareness, nonviolence, compassionate assumption, and healthy boundaries. EMDR helps the brain process painful experiences in a way that brings more ease and understanding. This can be especially meaningful for neurodivergent people who’ve experienced complex trauma by moving around in a world meant for different neurotypes.

In our work together, I move at a pace that feels right for you, with care for sensory comfort, safety, and regulation.

Longer sessions and EMDR intensives are also available for deeper, more focused healing.

    Brainspotting

I offer Brainspotting, a powerful yet gentle therapy that helps access and release stored emotional pain through mindful attention to eye position and body sensations. It allows the brain and body to process what words often can’t reach.

Many neurodivergent people find Brainspotting especially supportive, as it honors sensory experience, pacing, and the nervous system’s natural rhythm of healing.

Sessions move slowly and intentionally, creating space for safety, curiosity, and deep relief.

Longer sessions and intensives are also available for those wanting to go further in this work.

When we recognize that we are being held back in life, the question for each of us is “What do I do about it?”
